Whether you’re tired of eating raw veggies or just want to feel like a wasteland chef, this mod completely changes the way you handle food. It moves beyond basic roasting and adds a layer of “canning and boxing” that makes your loot feel much more professional.
Here is a quick guide on how to master the kitchen.
The Basics: How to Cook
The beauty of this mod is that it’s intuitive. You use your pots, cauldrons, and pans exactly like you do in the base game.
- The Default: If you throw random items in, they’ll just cook normally.
- The Recipe: If you hit the specific requirements for a dish, the mod takes over. You’ll see a green selection border around your items, letting you know you’ve nailed the recipe. Once finished, the raw ingredients vanish and your shiny new meal appears.
Packaging Your Food
You can’t just shove goulash in your pocket. For many of these recipes, you’ll need to craft containers first. Make sure these are in the inventory slots of your cooking gear before you start.
