DayZ Base Building Plus (BBP): Complete Workbench Recipes & Tier List Guide
Getting Started with Base Building Plus (BBP)
The Base Building Plus (BBP) mod streamlines construction and offers a multi-tiered building system, allowing you to create more complex and secure bases than the vanilla game.
The BBP Workflow
Find the BBP Book: The key to accessing BBP recipes is the BBP Book. This item is a world spawn (check industrial areas, sheds, etc.) and is non-consumable for the workbench. (or trader if available) Cartel Island DayZ servers has them available at the building trader at Altar for example.
Gather Basic Materials: You will primarily need Planks, Nails, Logs, and construction tools like an Axe and Shovel or Pickaxe.
Build the Workbench: The Workbench is crucial. Once you have the book, you can craft it.
Crafting Recipe: Combine 5 Planks + 1 BBP Book.
Note: The BBP Book is returned to your inventory after crafting the workbench.
Craft Kits: Interact with the Workbench to open its UI. Here, you can craft the basic Kits (Small Wall Kit, Large Wall Kit, etc.) which are the starting points for all structures.
Place the Kit: Place the kit on the ground where you want your structure to be.
Build the Frame: Use the required materials (Planks and Nails) to build the initial Frame of the structure.
Upgrade Tiers: After the Frame is built, you can upgrade it in progressive Tiers (T1, T2, T3) using various materials:
T1 (Wood/Plank): Requires Logs or more Planks.
T2 (Metal): Requires the T1 structure to be built, plus Sheet Metal and Nails.
T3 (Concrete): Requires Concrete Bricks and a Morter Mix (made from Lime, Sand, and Water/Clay, or simply found) applied with a Shovel or Pickaxe.
Base Building Plus Recipes
The following tables detail the recipes for various BBP structures, organized by function.
Frame + 15 Nails + 5 Sheet Metal + 5 Planks (Cannot be built over T1 or T2)
Small Door
10 Nails + 3 Planks
Frame + 10 Nails + 5 Planks
Frame + T1 Door + 15 Nails + 5 Sheet Metal
Frame + 15 Nails + 5 Sheet Metal + 5 Planks (Cannot be built over T1 or T2)
Note: The T1, T2, and T3 Door upgrades listed in the source text appear to be separate from the main Frame structure upgrades. The main structure’s Tiers (Wood/Plank, Metal, Concrete) are listed for completeness, but T1/T2/T3 Door recipes are specifically for the door panel itself.
